I was out at my support centre today. It was good to be out in community again after Christmas hibernation.

Sometimes it’s too busy, loud, and overwhelming there. But not today! It was nice and quiet and manageable. Not too many spoons needed.

I’m in the art room at my support centre. And I have it all to myself. Nice!

I brought my Copic markers that I recently liberated from a dark corner of my flat and I’m testing to see which ones need refilling.

I’m also happy to see the ink I’ve chosen for my fountain pen is not smudging at all from the markers. Not even a little.

🦷 Just had another session with the dentist. It’s been a saga but seems like I’m on the home stretch with this tooth. One more appointment for this in a few months. Then on to other business.

I just watched this awesome Swedish “UFO” movie called Watch The Skies. Really loved it.

It really warmed my heart. The vibes were perfect.

I didn’t like the lip sync thing to make the actor’s lips match the English dub. There was a real uncanny valley thing about it. I wish they left it as filmed.

But other than that, highly recommend.

Today I have been testing my new wide angle conversion lens. What a difference 7mm makes! I’ve been missing it since passing on my GR II to my kid. #PhotographyIsOxygen

In other news. I have a Germ so I’m isolating myself from a family gathering :( But the fresh air is doing me some good.

I get paranoid when someone unfollows me. Worrying about something I said, did, or didn’t say.

I go looking. Who was it? A friendly face or voice on my feed, someone I respect, or someone I don’t know at all?

I shouldn’t care but I do. It shouldn’t bother me. But honestly sometimes it does sting a little.

I worry so much about being accepted and being part of a community. It’s my default state: isolation. The way I am is out of my control. I’ve tried everything. For years. To heal. And I just 🤷‍♀️

Still pretty sick. Although beginning to feel better. These last 2 days I have almost lost my voice. And my ribs hurt a lot from coughing and sneezing.

I’m missing projects and events at my support centre that I was excited about. I hope I can make it back in on Friday. That’s my goal.

Someone just called me to offer me a space in an upcoming neurodiversity group. Very happy about that. She’s really lovely and I feel really good about the stuff we talked about.

I woke up feeling a lot better today. 😲

Yesterday was super rough. But today it’s like I woke up in a fresh body that got exchanged overnight without my knowledge.

I still feel weak and tired out so gonna take it easy. But priority number one is getting some fresh air. And more coffee.

It’s a shame the new Affinity 3 app is almost useless to me until they bring it to iPad. Files are not compatible with version 2 so I can’t really use it yet. I’m still happy with version 2. I don’t use Photo very much except when I would use Photoshop (which I pay for but don’t need that level of adobe in my life).
